Mission
Equip your organisation with the leading evidence-based knowledge through AbbeyWest management research as a service: Research, Advisory and Education.
AbbeyWest Research is dedicated to applied science of the highest standard. Past projects have gained international recognition for thought leadership in managing innovation ecosystems as follows.
Research in the Digital City Exchange programme at Imperial College London helped to demonstrate a track record in research that is highly relevant to digitally-enabled innovation ecosystems . Research in DCE integrated management with civil engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, and design disciplines. Service roles included chairing international workshops, such as the Strategic Management Society annual conference. Delivered workshops envision the future of governance to build and coordinate sustainable smart city ecosystems. Supporting research identified the need for new business models to enhance value co-creation from national and international innovation ecosystems, such as biotech in Finland and California. The research has been delivered to organisations ranging from Commonwealth Leaders to Telefonica to international academics. Research into the multinational corporations context is one of most cited articles in a top journal, and others have been presented at prestigious international conferences. The research involves both qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviews and national manager surveys.
